Duck - Photo of the Week

I was going to take a picture of a snoozing duck on the other side of the bridge when this one came to see me :) I didn't even realise at the time that DB would be in the background!

I'm linking up with Louise Lloyd's Photo of the Week.

  1. How lovely, like the sepia toning. It's so sad that ducks waddle around so near the traffic as they so often get squashed by speeding motorists. :-(

    1. Thank you:)

Yes... Although they are quite lucky in our village. There isn't much traffic where they live and people are generally cautious.

  3. What a great close up and with your little one out of focus in the background makes it very cool.

    1. Thanks! I think you can just make out that she looked a bit grumpy from the duck getting more attention than her! :)

  4. Wow what a gorgeous photo! I love the way your DS is in the background watching :) I love ducks, was one of the things that B Lloyd and I used to love doing during the day, going to visit the ducks to feed them! Don't get as much chance now whilst she is at school!

Thank you for linking up with Photo of The Week!

    1. Thank you!

Feeding the ducks and seeing them wherever there is water is something we've discovered and liked since we live in England! You don't see them around so much in France.

  6. Lovely photo, toning is great - brings out the contrast of the beautiful feather markings.

    1. Thank you. No, not shy at all, they're even a bit too familiar sometimes!! (theyt've been known to pinch little fingers if they think you're holding somethin to eat!)

    1. They are, aren't they. Sometimes we have a couple of them, one male and one female goin around the village as if they were doing their shopping!!
